My Columns Art Show at Bayside
Historic Society |
Those of you who
know me know that my name is Rita. Those of you who
know me better also know that one of my passions is ice cream so someone
captured not only who I am but what motivates me into one brand name …. I took this shot
in I have been
writing under the name Inkfeather for so many years that sometimes I forget
who knows me as what, and although the pseudonym suits me well, perhaps it is
time to work under my own name. The quality of
the work is the same because the mindset of
Inkfeather and Rita have always been equal and on the same track. The web pages
that I once produced were The Lighthouse, The Echo, and Inkslinks. For the moment, I will be working with the
page name that matches the address inkfeather.com. One thing that I
would like to re-introduce is my weekly column. I wrote a weekly column for a good number
of nears and always enjoyed sharing my thoughts. I often received
interesting input or responses from the readers, and the main reason I
stopped is America On Line, refused to understand that I had a mailing list,
that I was not a spammer, and that in fact I was providing a link to free
content that some of their subscribers enjoyed and requested. After two Terms
of Service Violations – both of which resulted in American on Line giving me
a free month of service rather than a black mark next to my name and a trip
to the corner to sit in the bad girl chair, it just got to be too much of a
hassle. The column (I
guess we have to update the name to a blog be technically-correct) will only
be by subscription and you can select to get it e-mail or just stop by here on
Monday evenings to see the latest posting.
I may be posting
some new poetry, photographs, short fiction or my other column “Penny For
Your Thoughts” where I now and then offer my “humble” opinion of what’s going
on in the world, and invite you to do the same. The links for my
work are on the left, and the my address remains the same – either inky@inkfeather.com or inkfeather@aol.com I hope you enjoy
my latest Column …. Rita |
